I love ideas and this is called IdeaPaint! It turns any surface into a dry-eraser surface. I would paint an old desk, kids' doors, kitchen cabinets and office walls in this paint. Very cool! Look at the gallery of pictures...

Little Art

Art is subjective and in the eye of the beholder. I remember seeing some Yoko Ono's art installations from the 60's and in particular one titled "YES" the one that John Lennon saw and feel in love with her. I don't get her art viewpoint. I don't get most art, but I know it is supposed to invoke an emotion, a feeling, perhaps a conversation. So, in retrospect, I guess she accomplished her goal. She made her art, she started the conversation, and she got her man. (and broke up The Beatles - I'm still hurt by that one!)

Remember The Littles? This art installation reminded me of that cartoon, but I guess bigger than that it reminds me of how small we are in the eyes of God. We are just ants marching around building our little ant hills. Sometimes, we focus so intently on building our ant hills that we forget why we are and what purposes our lives have. Again, I guess art has me thinking which invoked an emotion and now a conversation within myself. Art 2, Jenny 0

Ring of People

Johnny Cash’s final studio album "Ain't No Grave" and its title track is a soul touching farewell song from a music legend. The Johnny Cash Project is an interactive website where participants drew their own portrait of Johnny Cash that was later integrated into a collaborative music video. The video is the collective effort that includes a number of drawings, each done by a different person. Then the drawings were traced over simple frames that were strung together and relayed in sequence. It has become a living, moving, and ever changing portrait of the legendary Man in Black. The music video below is a very unique and probably one of the best ways to pay tribute to a legend. If you go to the website, click on the Explore tab. You are able to explore frame by frame and view who the frame artist is and how they submitted their drawing or painting.

Color My Childhood

How awesome are these cardboard houses by Javier Mariscal? It would be so much fun to play with these little houses and color in all of parts. (cue grandpa voice) "In my day..." we took old appliance boxes and made fort houses. One time, we made our on little city. Well, if I had a kid and an extra $275 lying around, I would really be tempted to buy this house for he or she. Maybe I will buy this for me with our tax return. We could always claim it as my home office, right?

The Outsiders: Body Art

I'm no stranger to the Internets. I surf it all of the time and {if you listen to my parents} - way too much. I think I am quickly moving up Google's index food chain though. However, I still from time to time get surprised by what people put out there on the web. So, I'm going to start an occasional blog posting named "The Outsiders" devoted to all those souls who stepped outside of the proverbial acceptable box and followed the beat of a different drum.
