Mr. Wizard's World

Today I learned that Mr. Wizard (a.k.a Don Herbert) died yesterday due to bone cancer.  He was 89 years old. I can still remember coming home and watching Mr. Wizard’s World on Nickelodeon. He got me so excited about science, which was an impossible feat.

I realized today that kids don’t have television icons anymore like we used to that encourage  them to learn as Mr. Wizard and Mr. Rogers did.  So today in honor of Mr. Wizard, I will take my Diet Coke bottle and shake it really hard to make a liquid tornado.
